I am an educator-practitioner, an asso­ciate fac­ulty mem­ber in the School of Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and Cul­ture at Royal Roads Uni­ver­sity in Vic­to­ria, Canada. As a strate­gic and inno­v­a­tive com­mu­ni­ca­tions leader with years of results-driven expe­ri­ence in both the pri­vate and non-profit sec­tors, I bring a dynamic wealth of pro­fes­sional work expe­ri­ence to both prac­tice and teach­ing. A life-long learner who pur­sues new skills and under­stand­ing, my diverse edu­ca­tion includes sev­eral com­mu­ni­ca­tion dis­ci­plines. I have demon­strated hands-on award-winning engage­ment in jour­nal­ism and media man­age­ment, in addi­tion to expe­ri­ence in  cri­sis com­mu­ni­ca­tions, pub­lic engage­ment, social media and mar­ket­ing.
